  • Thaud is the only character not to appear or be mentioned in the episode.
  • This is the first (and currently only) time a proper first episode of a season of The Squishables was made.
  • This is also the first episode to receive a Daily award on Newgrounds as well, although it was partially mass voted on by Natty23.
  • This episode indicates that the main character count in this season could be 9 or 10, as another new character is to be a counselor, and that Thaud may be a secondary character now. However, that change never occurred.
  • This was the longest The Squishables episode for a while, as it is 5 minutes and 21 seconds, although it became the second longest once Regents, a Season 6 episode, aired. It's 3 minutes and 5 seconds longer than this episode, which is a length that's longer than all of the episodes from Season 1 to Season 3. The record before First Day was Binder Check with 3 minutes and 16 seconds. This episode is 2 minutes and 5 seconds longer.
    • Coincidentally, 2 minutes and 5 seconds is almost Notebook Check's time, but a second longer. Coincidentally, it was the longest episode of Season 2, and even more coincidentally, both Notebook Check and Binder Check are about Lubch checking the students' property.
  • The intro in the beginning didn't even mention Thaud or show her, but originally she'd appear in a flashback, but she didn't. Also, another intro would take over for the rest of the season, as this intro was just a special one for the first episode.
  • This is the only cartoon of Season 4 of The Squishables in which the creator didn't have his Wacom tablet at the time.
  • MistyEntertainment animated the bell.
  • The hallways and classroom looked like what they were in Season 3 just because the creator didn't make the REAL hallway and classroom of Season 4 yet. However, they were re-colored and changed up a bit.
